Alejandro Barajas Senior Recital
Client: Alejandro Barajas (Poster / Promotional Design)
Objective: To create promotional collateral that engages targeted audience to attend an event.
Solution: Created a poster that is visually appealing and allows people to attend physically and digitally.
Background: Seniors in their last year of the Percussion music program at Cal Poly Pomona perform a recital to demonstrate and challenge their skills. Alejandro needed an eye-catching poster to advertise his last performance to his colleagues, family, and more.
Final poster design displayed in Cal Poly Pomona's music department building.
Process
A list of the works that would be played at the recital. Each was listened and researched to determine which could be abstractly represented in the poster.
An mood board was made based on client's desire for a visually interesting flyer.
Numerous layout sketches were created. A box for the QR code was added to allow people to watch the performance online. Then a rough digital mockup was made.
Various colored versions were created for both digital and printed. The final being version 1 was selected after reviewing what would suit the client best.
